Udaipur City Palace Museum

The City Palace Museum is the jewel in the crown of the Udaipur City Palace Complex. It is here that you can immerse yourself in the history of the Maharanas of Mewar, and really get a feel for their culture and how royalty lived.

City Palace

One of the most popular attractions, City Palace was constructed in the year 1559 by Maharana Udai Mirza Singh. The palace is majestically located on the banks of Pichola Lake. Showcase the perfect blend European, Medieval and Chinese styles of architecture, this place houses 11 magnificent palaces and they all were constructed during various periods and by several rulers.

Bagore Ki Haveli

Once the residence of Maharana Shakti Singh of Bagore in the year 1878 and hence the name Bagore ki Haveli, this palace has been converted into museum retaining the royal touch to the building. The massive building has over 100 rooms and looks splendid with its unique style of architecture.

Kumbhalgarh Fort

The birthplace of the prominent warrior and King of Mewar, Maharana Pratap, Kumbhalgarh Fort was constructed in the 15th century. The fort was a challenge to the greatest of kings. The fort stands formidably on 1180 m high ridge.

Lake Pichola

Another attraction in the city dominated by nature, Lake Pichola was created in 1362 AD. Rana Udai Singh II extended the lake in 16th century. The picturesque lake is surrounded by huge hills, magnificent palaces, temples and bathing Ghats. There is no dearth of attarcactions in this city but there are many others that one can explore such as Sajjan Garh, Ambari Ghat, Monsoon Palace and many more. Moreover, there are good facilities of transport. Dabok Airport is the nearest airport just 21 km away from the main city. Apart from, there is good facility of train and buses.
